Bismillah bint Saud: Saudi princess released after nearly three years in prison
Social workers in Saudi Arabia say a princess and her daughter have been released without charge after nearly three years in a high-security prison.
Princess Bismillah Bint Saud was arrested in March 2019 as she was preparing to travel to Switzerland for a medical examination.
It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. No charges have been filed against Bismillah bint Saud or her daughter Suhud.
Some believe that this is due to their demands for protection of human rights and constitutional reforms.
According to the AFP news agency, his family told the United Nations in a statement in 2020 that it was possible that he spoke out against the violence.
However, some quarters believe that his arrest was due to his close ties to former Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef.
Nayef is reportedly under house arrest.
Last year, Princess Bismillah demanded the release of Saudi King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman.
He said in a statement that he had done nothing wrong and that his health was being affected.

He was held in Al-Hayir prison on the outskirts of the capital, Riyadh.
The Saudi organization added that no charges have been filed against him at any time during his detention.
